Initial work with Abhay: Jan-Feb 2013

by deeburn | Feb 12, 2013 | SMART Project | 0 comments

The project team has had a number of meetings with Abhay since he joined the project and the initial structure for his assessment of current SAS social media presence over the coming months will be as follows:

1. Throughout February, Abhay will undertake an initial assessment to benchmark current School social media activity using a variety of data monitoring tools to assess exposure (fans, followers, views); engagement (likes, RTs, reach of network, mentions); sentiment/influence (links to content) and conversions (what next?), as well as the results from a survey of staff, research fellows and research students.

2. Following his analysis Abhay will facilitate a focus group in late February to discuss his initial assessment findings and the results of the survey, and to develop a richer understanding of social media activity, its role in SAS, the challenges it raises, and to look at ways in which the central communications team can support the work the departments.

3. Abhay will conduct ongoing training with the project team to assist us with building our social media skills and presence for SAS, and to assist with the development of a central social media strategy that supports the work of the departments.
